The farm demonstrates a closed loop system with fertility derived in large part from the cattle and chickens raised without GMO feed or sub-therapeutic antibiotics. In addition, livestock, including pasture raised pigs and turkeys, are fed trimmings and waste from the market garden operation and grass hay grown in their own pastures. |

The couple met in college at UW-Madison while studying soil science and rural sociology, respectively. They have created a small, diverse farm that connects people to their food. Lauren and Kyle are farming 4.5 acres on top of a hill, where they are the third generation of farmers on the land. |
